Hey, I am Junyang!
My name is Junyang Deng (邓君扬). I am a first-year PhD student at Dartmouth College.
Before starting my PhD, I completed a Master’s in Computational Biology and Quantitative Genomics at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where I worked as a Graduate Researcher in Biostatistics advised by Dr. Rong Ma. During this time, I also worked as a Data Science Intern at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, focusing on digital pathology. Earlier, I obtained a B.Sc. in Bioinformatics from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), and spent a semester as a visiting student at UC Berkeley.
My research interests sit at the intersection of multimodal integration and clinical decision-making. I am passionate about building interpretable machine learning methods for high-dimensional biomedical data, particularly single-cell and spatial omics data and biomedical imaging.
